My son loved the Countdown Calendars I made last year. He loved counting down to all the fun holidays and would ask me every morning if it was time to move the magnet. I remembered that I hadn't created a Valentine's Countdown calendar. I had some extra magnetic boards on hand so I made one in just a couple of hours the other day.

I didn't take a lot of pictures of the process but you basically add a good helping of Mod Podge to one side of the magnetic board and then place it on top of your scrap paper. Be sure to pay attention to what side you're laying it on. Wait for it to dry and then cut around the board with an X-Acto knife.
I like to finish the edges of mine with ink but that's totally up to you. Add any embellishments you want. I used chipboard letters from the Dollar Spot at Michaels. My heart ribbon is from the Dollar Spot of Target and then I just used some Mod Podge on my magnet and sprinkled it with Martha Stewart light pink glitter. I always "set" my glitter with hairspray. I cut out my numbers with my Cameo but you could easily use stickers.
I think it's just adorable. I love the pop of green in there.
Do you remember the Necklace Organizer I made for Sarah using a light pink tray from the Dollar Spot that I spray painted hot pink? Well, I had an extra tray (I got these last Valentine's from Target Dollar Spot). I grabbed the magnet board, attached some glue dots to the back and hung it onto the tray. I love this little extra something. I wanted to do something different than just a regular stand like I used in my other Calendars.
Now it will sit on the shelf in our living room just waiting on Hosea to move it each morning!
Thanks for reading. See you soon!
