Have you heard of a perpetual calendar? I've seen them all over the web for a year or so. It's a fantastic idea. You basically stamp (or handwrite if you want) the date on 365 notecards. Then on that day, you pull the card, write the year and write something significant you did or heard or just something that stood out to you. Do this year after year after year and you've got a treasure chest full of memories!
My sister-in-law mentioned she liked the idea so I made one for her. I stamped an extra set of cards while I was at it just in case. My neighbor said she loved the idea so I finished making the second one and passed it along to her. I really love how it turned out. The original (click here to see the full instructions) used a really pretty berry basket. I actually made one with my Cameo but it was too flimsy so I opted for wrapping up a toddler shoe box and using it to hold the cards. I figure it will hold up year after year.
Do you use a perpetual calendar? I'd love to hear how you like it!

I heard about this on Violet Imperfection on Jan 1 and decided to make one that day since I had the supplies on hand. I just write what our family did that day. It really makes you want to make each day special so you can write something fun each day.
I'm having my first giveaway-http://aprichards.blogspot.com
