Spring Has Sprung Decor

The weather here in Florida is warming up quite quickly.  I wanted to do a simple Spring set up before Summer officially (or unofficially) arrives.

This was such an easy and quick project.  I took 3 mason jars and some scrap fabric (The print is by Nancy Mims for Robert Kaufman and is called Summer - one of my favorite prints!) and cut it into strips and tied it on.  Really simple yet really pretty.

Then I bought this tray at Target for $.75 after Easter.  Oh yeah!  It was a pale pink so I spray painted it hot pink.

I so love how this all turned out.  Really springy.

Then I made this "Spring is Sprung" felt banner for a craft sale I participated in a few weeks ago.  It didn't sell so I decided to put it to good use.  I just love felt banners.  Having them up in the house makes me feel happy.

Then I took my Scripture Board and gave it a makeover.  I repainted the sides with Martha Stewart Crafts Paint, color Amaranth and then recovered it with card stock from Project Life.

Then I added some lyrics from a Nichole Nordeman song called Every Season.  "And everything that's new has bravely surfaced, teaching us to breathe.  What was frozen through is newly purposed, turning all things green.  So it is with You, and how you make me new."

And lastly, I redid a wreath that I made last Spring.  This is the only picture I can find of it.

I really liked it but it somehow got a big red mark on it.  So, I decided to recover it with some fabric.

I love how it turned out.  I typically make yarn wreaths so this was out of the box for me.  You basically just take strips of fabric (mine were 3 inches wide) and wrap it all around.  I pinned it in the back after every strip.

Then I followed this tutorial on how to gather some felt and made this ruffle.  Very easy.  This wreath took me 30 minutes tops.

Oh and instead of unwrapping the wreath, I just wrapped the fabric right over top of all the yarn.

Do you decorate your home for the seasons or for holidays?  I'd love to hear if you do.  Send me any links that show what you've done!

Thanks for reading!
